There're two types of matching:
ZL=ZC matching, and ZL=Z*C (conjugate)
Assume Z=R+jX where X is either capacitive or inductive..
To match using Z=Z you have to do the followin:
Drow your load on smith chart..
then try to move on smith chart till your real parts of Z and Z are the same, and also the imaginary parts.. (by adding either series or shunt R, L, or C, which are the matching elements, transmission lines sections are also used but mainly in high frequencies above the GHz)
The same thing is done in case of Z=Z* but you will draw Z* on smith chart instead of Z, and move also to reach the same point..
In ADS, you will find a palette called Passive circuit DG - matching, you can use it .. also, you can open smith chart and move on it using R,L,C, and T.L. and see results on it, and it calculates required values for you..
