ADE7753 few questions

Sorry if my english is too bad.

Ive got a few questions. I read the datasheet but there are some things i did not understand properly.

1) If i read the value from active energy register and divide it by the time it has been increased , will I get the average active power value?

2)What is the benefit of line cycle accumulation mode. Is it better than the normal mode? Im not interested in measuring the energy but the average power.

3) What is the difference between positive-only and normal accumulation mode?

Thank you really much for answers

Re: ADE7753 few questions

Reading Active energy register gives power accumulated (integrated) over time so yes dividing it by total time would give the average power.

2)What is the benefit of line cycle accumulation mode. Is it better than the normal mode? Im not interested in measuring the energy but the average power.
With line cycle accumulation mode, it is possible to accurately measure energy for programmed no. of cycles

3) What is the difference between positive-only and normal accumulation mode?
It has do to with direction of power flow (for example power sourcing or power consumption are two different directions). If positive only moe is selected, then for one direction of power flow there will be 0 measured power and for the other there will be measued power, whereas, with normal mode, power will be measured for either direction of power flow
