Thanks Click to expand... Yes. Draw the wire any way you want with the routing tool. Name it anyway you want by changing its properties. No rocket science.

I do so and give an arbitrary name, but then I get another error saying "net name is invalid".

If you want to route a net manually, first select the net and shift+A ( add wire ).

Thank you, if I want to add a new output port to my layout (which is already designed), should I use ECO ? Basically, I want to add a new output port with no routing..no cells..nothing and I will manually route it afterwards. How to do that ?
