hello everyone !
i m trying to use TMS320C2000 design tools, with a PMSM motor and the HVMTRPFCKIT along with the control suite and code composer studio installed. the OS i m running is win xp sp3 and is 32 bit.

following the instructions as they are, when i set up the system, start the GUI and connect the system with my pc, i get an error msg reporting "access to the port 'COM4' is denied ... " !

the port is although open whenever i use it for usb mouse, camera or any other usb related activity.
the device manager when opened, displays a yellow sign on the "xds560 JTAG emulator driver".
now i am not using the JTAG thingy and the drivers are installed as well, even then error message is displayed and i m unable to move any further !

before that, when i built the solution on my laptop, win7 64 bit, everything went well but when i started the GUI, it got hanged (windows displaying error message of "an unhandled exception") with the motor running !

please help me rectify the problem. thanks in advance :)
