i am doing LNA design and implementation for high frequency(>12GHz). I am using transistor and micostrip for implementation. I would like to know wat kind of equipment i need when doing the testing of the hardware(the full finished LNA)?

u need , a VNA "vector network analyzer"
if it is with power sweep option , and nonlinear measurments opion and noise figure measurment opion
and noise source

this will make u be able of
1)gain
2)noise figure
3)1dB compression point
4)IM3 , 5 and so on
5)IIP3

if the VNA , didn't include nonlinear meas. , and power sweep
u will neeed a singal generatot , and a spectrum analyzer

check on www.agilent.com , www.anritsu.com , www.rohde-schwarz.com
about thier line of VAN's

Because Noise Figure is the most important parameter of an LNA, probably the minimum equipment that you need for those frequencies is to use an Agilent PSA Spectrum Analyzer with Option 219 (Noise Figure Measurement). You get Noise Figure and Gain characteristics in one box.
