Hi, everyone. I am doing a Printed Microstrip Antenna project right now. I do have a small question about the antenna fabrication.

I did some antenna simulations in IE3D and HFSS, and now it is time to make a real PCB for measurement.

I am wondering whether these two softwares can export the PCB file for fabrication, or I need to redraw the structure in other software? If yes, what kind of software is easy to use to draw microstrip antenna on PCB? Thanks in advance.

Hi

I think that in IE3D there's export to Gerber File that's the format for PCB manuf.
or GDSII try DXF you can export it from IE3D if you have ADIX addon
and in HFSS

better to ask the manuf. what kind of format is working with maybe he will make the Trans. For you

I am wondering how the IE3D to export the Gerber file. Since I am not very familiar with the Gerber file format, I cannot solve some error for it. Any information or reference are welcome. Thanks.

you can get ADIX from Zeland
