Hi there,

What's inside the 50OHM connector? just a pure 50 OHM resistor? and How they make it work? I measure the resistor of it. it is like a 50 OHm load.

Thanks for any answers.

A 50 ohm connector, such as an SMA or N, is simply a short length of coaxial transmission line with convenient threads for attaching a cable. The connector has a characteristic impedance of 50 ohms, but that's not something you can measure on an ohm meter. The 50 ohm resistance you measure is a termination resistor located further inside the instrument, probably at the first mixer or preamplifier.
