Check voltage on all batteries. If one is very low, then the UPS may think the pack is faulty. It may decide they cannot be charged. So it beeps an error.
The opposite case is possible (though unlikely), that one or more batteries is too high a voltage.
There is also a chance the UPS needs to be reset. The steps may be given in the instruction manual.
