741 op-amps, trying to get the basic concepts

I'm new to the op-amps in general, just trying to understand some concepts if the load resistance is close to the output resistance of the op-amps, and it is being feedback into the inverted input with the non-inverted input grounded, what effects will this have on the op-amp?? Any effect like the amplification, will it create distortion etc? thank you
 

As you are a "digital-man": Do you the basics of feedback theory, in particular the influence on gain, input/output impedance, and linearity ? If not, this is not the right place to teach basics. Use an appropriate text book instead.
