I need circuit of +5V power supply. It can adjust output current limit. The maximum output current about 3A or larger. Also it can protect output short circuit.Please help me.
One (easy) option is to connect two regulators (rated for at least 3A current) in series: the first one acts as adjustable current limitter, the second one sets the output voltage to 5Vdc .. see attached picture ..
As you are not after 0-to-something range you don't need (-10V) negative reference and the bottom sides of both potentiometers can be connected to 0V ..
