Hey all,

I need to construct a circuit which requires a 20Mhz Resonator component which has 3 pins. In my hand I have 20Mhz xtal's having 2 pins, I am sure there is a way to make xtal's behave like 3-pin resonator component (paralell/serial connections) but couldn't find any information on this.

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers

The three connections are:

1. One end of the crystal and one end of C1.
2. The other end of C1 and one end of C2.
3. The other end of the crystal and the other end of C2.

C1 and C2 are capacitors, their values would be the same and proabably 15pF or 20pF.

Brian.
