[SOLVED] 2 wire serial interface

Status
Not open for further replies.
One line is used for clock and other line is used for data,
A master controls the transmission and reception..
There is only one data line so only one device can transmit at a time,
and the targeted device will give acknowledgement over the data line.....

I2C or 2-wire serial interface cant be full duplex its either Master transmit or master recieve , or slave transmit or slave recieve .
it requires start and stop bit generation to start and end transmit and acknowledge sequence from the master or slave for sucessful recieval of data .

for full duplex mode u can choose SPI that is 4/3-wire communication.
