2.8 inch LCD mtf0280qn - 18 interface

I am using 2.8 inch LCD mtf0280qn with NIOS II processor.

the LCD uses HX8347D driver IC,

datasheet of this driver IC tells that it can be configure as 8 bit parallel or 16 bit parallel interface or many other by connecting pins IM0, IM1, IM2, and IM3 to VCC or ground,

but I have no any pins available at interface header strip. it has 37 pins as shown in mtf0280QN datasheet.

how can I know the interface of the LCD i.e. 8 bit parallel or 16-bit parallel?

I asked the manufacturer of LCD and as per their suggestion they told me that LCD is configured as 8-bit parallel by them.

now I tried the code to read the driver ID of LCD and as per HX8347-D datasheet it should be read as 0x47, but I am getting 0x00.

what may be the problem? can it be a problem of reset?
if reset is not done properly, cant we read driver ID?

any suggestion will be helpful
