Hi In my book there is diagram of Cascaded 4x3 multiplier
what does he mean by this.
I want to design simple 4 x 4 bit multiplier. But i am confused with the pic of cascaded 4 x 4 multiplier. kindly tell me is there some change required in diagram for my requirement.
Whay he has connected those lines indicated by me.

They are carries. For example, the one you pointed with "why these are used to connect" in red is a carry from P1 to P2.
