Could anyone tell me it Two be connected in tandum so that I could get more wattage?.

Sounds like a dangerous idea. If they are not synchronized in phase you'll be in trouble. It'll be like shorting two different voltage sources together.
Usually 12V to 110VAC inverters are designed to be independent of the 110V network and they dictate their output voltage/phase.
Designing them for your purpose is possible, but more complicated (they need to sense the existing voltage for synchronization).
