12v inverter schematic

Can anybody supply a decent schematic or project for a 12v car battery to 240v AC inverter so I can run various items in my garage as I have no mains power supply

Things I have in mind are a small striplight and small hobby style drill or just power to charge up my cordless drill

Around 150-20o would be more than enough, but if it is possible to increase this, what would I need to change to give more wattage on the 240v side

I have read that too high a wattage output means a massive drain on the 12v side, I'm using a large van battery, so its about twice the size of your 'standard' UK car battery, which I currently use to act as a battery boost when the motorcycles I work on have a dead battery

many thanks
