Is there an analog circuit other than a 555 that will convert the HIGH output of a comparator to a fixed-width pulse of approx. 1-2 uS?

I need a circuit that outputs a pulse when an input waveform goes above a VRef - but the output needs to be fixed width - so, independent from how long the signal stays above the VRef.

Thanks,

- J

It is called a One shot. These are your choices. You can always make a state machine with gates and a 1-2us reset using an RC delay with a Schmitt trigger

But often you need to consider noise less than your period and may want the added feature in One shots to be either non-retriggerable or re-retriggerable and thus extend duration from last threshold crossing.

Some have Schmitt trigger inputs.

if you need a specific threshold, then a comparator, with reference can drive the 1-shot
