Hi all,

I am desgining a simple reflectarray antenna (follow a paper) by using HFSS. I have simulated the unit cell of the reflectarray antenna using the waveport to see the phase changed in reflection coefficient. And, the results of the unitcell meet well with the paper.
I am now extending to 4x4 elements applying waveport/ Floquet port as the plane wave to see how beam be scanned.
However, when I plotted the mag E, it is not what I expected. It is just the mag E in each single unitcell like the picture below.

So, I wonder that how can you see the beam scanning in HFSS?
Or I need to use horn or waveguide as a plane wave source?

Is there anyone who have experiences on this field? Can you please help me out?
I am very grateful if you can provide me the answer.

Sincerely yours
MinhTran.
