I'm want to do synthesis on a design using 90G tech. I'm not sure how much timing margin should I remain for backend guys. It was 35%(including clock uncertainty) in previous design which using 130lv tech. Any suggestion?

It's no difference for timing margin consideration.

Hi linghan,

dont leave that much timing margin 35% is huge margin but u have to get the all the required details from the backend guys like what is the maximum acivable clock skew in clock tree.go for the DC tropgraphic flow which is recomended for the design of technologies below 90nm.use maximum of 20% margin since u have to give the clock uncertainity and clock skew which will become huge magin if u give 35%.
