why are nand gates used to make up logical circuits....
and how can i make a pmos act as a resistance???

thnx

Implementing NAND or NOR gates costs 4 transistors whereas implementing AND or OR costs 6 transistors, this can be the simple answer. For the further information you can search for Static CMOS, Complementary CMOS.

salam ,,,

NAND and NOR gates are called universal gates as you can implement any function using any one of them , I think .....

for example you cannot implement an inverter using OR or AND

you can implement it using NAND

I hope this will be a good answer

The area occupied by the four transistors in a NAND gate is comparitively lesser than that of a NOR gate. thats the reason for using nand instead of NOR

also the propagation delay of nands are less than others.
in fact the 'and' & 'or' gates were made of nand gates .
