how much you would earn per hour in your country?

ın my country it is about $ 1300 USD

Here in the UK anything up to £4000 per month is not unheard of (£27 per hour).
A young PCB designer can expect around £1500 per month (£10 per hour).
5 years experience can expect around £2000 per month (£14 per hour).
15-20 years plus write your own cheque, experience says it all.
I have 19 years in all areas of PCB design I now specialise in RF layout.

Phil

Added per hour rates based on a 37 hour week. 8O

This really is a fascinating thread. Unfortunately, not everyone is stating what there country is.

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but where are almtree, Me, and MariaR from?

I wrote it in my first post (no. 8 from the top). Anyway I'm from Denmark.

I asked the question how much you would earn per hour ?
Because somebody may work 30days per month, and work overtime everyday.
maybe the others only work 8 hours a day.
SO would you tell the details,or tell us howmany hours you spend in your work every month.

~37 hours pr. week and 6 weeks holiday pr. year.

I know a very experience PCB designer that charges 65-75$/hr for contract PCB work here in San Diego CA, USA

Six years experience with RF PCB layout by hand and not much autoroute experience only gets me $30/hour.

Are there PCB designers that actually only work 37 hours per week? And get holidays? :p

it all depends

It all depends upon what part of the world you are in. A few years ago when the economies were booming companies had to buy out PC layout companies to get their boards laid out. The in house people were so overloaded and the PC layout companies were turning away business.

What a difference three years make.

Many people think that we are in the worst part of the long term 70 year economic cycles. This one is less disastrous than the previous one in 1929-1938 because the economic system is less regenerative. In that time stock could be bought with 10% your funds and 90% borrowed funds. Once the stocks dropped 10% the lenders were hit. Loans for housing was on a yearly basis and renewed each year. Once the lenders had no funds the housing loans could not be renewed and the people lost their housing.

400$/Month normally in China from **broken link removed**

cmoscircuit, are you in Shanghai?

maybe you know me,gdxk?who are you?

Depends if self employed or by a company and on the task.

UK self 50-150 UKP per hour

If employed 20 UKP per hour

It all depends upon the area of the country that you live in.
The south of the Uk pays far different to the north. In the north I earn £8.50 per hour, yet in the south I can expect much higher.

In my country monthly pay of PCB designer very different and the pay rate not defy any logic. I can say, that the montly pay is about 100-800 USD (I know the mans, who gets the both pay limits, that I pointed out), but very often the pay is not depends on professional skills.

With respect,
Kit-the-great

P.S. In Russia no the hourly pay and no the real limitations of working week (for ex.: i'm works about 9-16 hours per day).

~190USD per month for pcb layout ( not an engineer)
~300USD per month for engineer

Thailand, best for travel
