replacing relays with semiconductors

Why in some applications(if the load is below 10A means also) still using relays instead of semiconductors..?
nowadays lot of switching transistors are coming...but they still preferring relays...
Whats the reason to choose relays..?

Another "which one is best" questions.
The answer almost allways is: I depends.
(Besides what already said jn post#2) Cost, availability, size, speed, driving method, driving power, load current...
