Potentiometer for SMPS output voltage adjustment.?

Hello,

We are doing an offline 330W half bridge smps which is to have an output voltage of 40V or 50V….to be set with a pot at production.

The lower feedback divider resistor will comprise two resistors in series, one of which is the pot.

I ma aware that this can give noisy operation of the smps, as pot wipers slip and have poor contact.

Please do you know of a good pot for this job?
 

Cermet types of Pot compare perform favorably against Carbon types for lower noise and reliability.
Larger wattage ones will also have a larger wiper contact area.
'Sealed' types will last longer with their lack of dust etc ingress.

As a starting point without more specific information on what value/rating you are looking for, have a look at:
Bourns - Trimpot® Trimming Potentiometers - Single-turn
as have found these more reliable than some other manufacturers, although more expensive
