which is the best C compiler for pic 16f series? wat abt HTC?

I use HiTech compilers, but "millwood" is right. The best one is one which you have and which you know to work with.

Generally C compilers use ANSI C, so there are no big difference, from programming aspect. Only difference is which compiler give you better code optimisation, buit who cares, if you can't put your code in PIC get another with more memory...

Talking about the C language compilers for programming i would suggest you to use Hi-tech C as it is one of the major programming tool of Microchip itself. Go for other compilers too because the knowledge of how to use different compilers is always an asset.
