smps voltage

please i am trying to make off-line SMPS with variable output voltage 0 to 24V

It is 50 Watt max,

Is it right, all i need do is make the lower divider resistor variable like a pot ?

smps voltages

hi,
r u trying to make isolated one?
if i think you can achive voltage as low as 1volt which is the forfard voltage of opto coupler usually

variable smps

thankyou, yes it is isolated.

so i just twiddle pot to vary voltage, but pot is a noisy resistor is it not ?....will it affect the smps?

what is voltage of smps

its better to use tl431 and vary its reference.
ys you may effected with ringing due to noisy resistoers. but with suitable prequation you can settile down it soon

variable voltage smps

thankyou for replying , grittinnjames,

...though if i put a capacitor across the pot to smooth its voltage then i am messing up the loop gain.

...since the pot will be the lower divider resistor and this will surely mame my transient response terribly slow ?

smps voltaje

use low value resistor divider say in 1k or below 10k
i think it will help u to reduce noise
