Hello,

When I make new parts and add to the EAGLE library, it is often convenient to copy a similar package footprint from an existing part. However, I do not know how to search parts by package. Does anyone have an idea?

Just search the lbr files containing the package name as text.
Unfortunately since Windows XP the search function can't be used anymore for a full text search on any files.
So you've to use a 3rd party tool, e.g. "Agent Ransack" (freeware)

Example:
search all lbr files containing the text "TSSOP" --> all files will be found containing the package name "TSSOP"
