The sensitive of gas detectors is in concentration units (particularly % LEL) for combustible gas detection. The concentration depends on leak rate and ventilation situation, another important point is gas density. LPG always accumulates at the bottom of an air volume respectively a room's floor.
A sensor can be either mounted at the position where the highest concentration is expected or near to a possible ignition source.
