i programmed my xbee with a wrong firmware/type!!

and now i cant communicate to it via uart... it's saying that its unable to connect to the modem... or wrong baudrate...

i read steps in fixing it and done so but it seems not to work

im using windows 7... series 2 xbee...

you can revert back to factory settings. what baud rate you changed and with what are you testing, hyperterminal is not supported in windows 7

CONFIGURATION
Soft Reset With NV Reset
The OEM Host issues this command to perform a soft reset of the transceiver and to erase the network settings stored in the radio’s NV RAM. Any transceiver settings modified by CC commands will revert to the values stored in the EEPROM.
ADVANCED NETWORK COMMANDS
Command:<0xCC> <0xFF> <0xE3>
# of bytes returned:0
Response: None
Some applications may require a more extensive knowledge of the Network and its current configuration. For this reason, the ZB2430 includes several advanced commands which can be issued anytime the radio is in Command mode. Each of these commands include a 16-bit Return Mask which allows the OEM Host to select the information returned in the command response.
NOTE: All unused bits in the Return Mask should be set to “0”.

Other option is keep on changing the baud rate in the terminal window and do trial and error
It should work for some baud rate

the problem is when upgrading/changing firmware.. then suddenly it stopped for some reason.. it will be currupt..

1) Connect USB cable to SKXBee and to computer
2) Lauch X-CTU and set the default setting - COMx(the biggest number COM), 9600bps, 8data bit, no parity and 1 stop bit
3) Go modem configuration tab, select XB24(for XBEE) or XBP24 (for XBEE-PRO)
4) Select XBEE 802.15.4 for function set and 10CD for version
5) Select always update firmware and and show default
6) Press and hold the RESET button on SKXBee
7) Click "write" on XCTU window
When action required box come out, release the RESET button
9) The box will disappear and start loading firmware
10) If fail, please try a few time.

another trick is to plug the serial port in and out if you are using usb.. cause it will somehow reset..
=)

it will take multiple tries to make it work.. so dont be disapointed if it fail in the first time
