Hi Everyone,

I have design a circle in Cadence Virtuoso. I always have problem when simulating. I don't know how to resolve it.
Can anyone help me. Thanks.

PS I'm a beginner in Cadence Virtuoso, and Linux. Please guide me step by step, Thanks

The circle is showed in attach.(I don't know how to post it with the text.)

the error message is

I don't know what model name you have given M0 (maybe NMOS) but it needs to match a model name in your library. Also, have you assigned dimension to the device (W/L)?

Keith

I don't know which library it belongs to. The only thing I know is that it belongs to Virtuoso own's library. I get a pic and I hope it can tell you which library it belongs to.
Thank you

I don't use Cadence but I suggest you search for "analogLib". Also, you might want to make the transistor dimensions microns, not metres.

Keith.

Hello
This is standard component. Before using it you should define model for it.

I don't know how to define it. Please instruct me step by step.

Thank you!

You should get somewhere design kit for technology you are going to work (for example, TSMC 0.18 um, AMS 0.35 um) which includes models for components this technology contains.

when u launch the ADE ( analog design environment), u should choose what type of simulator and model library included in your simulation, it locate at setup button after u launch ADE. if u are starting from beginner ,i suggest u go search tutorial on google.. some tutorial will included model statement declaration, just follow the instruction provided and it is easy to find the tutorial through google..

Thank you for your help. I think I should start from a specific process, not a standard model.

Thank you for all your help!
