Data format for "La Crosse Technology" remote TX?

tx4u 44 bits

Hi

Can anyone tell me what is the data format of their outdoor sensor-transmitters. I have a type TX4U operating on 433MHz and by looking at the data stream there are 2 bursts of 44 bits (looks like the same data transmitted twice). This sensor transmits the following to the receiver:

Outdoor temp: -21.8 deg F to +157.8 deg F
Relative humidity: 1% to 99%
Station ID: 1 to 3
Low Batt: Indicator

Here is a typical burst that I recorded in my lab at around 71.6 deg F and 45% Relative Humidity measured on another instrument:

11110101000111100110101111001111101111001111

I am trying to incorporate this data in one of my own displays and before trying to analyze the format I thought maybe someone knows the format.

problems with la cross technology

Here is a link to a Oregon Scientific device that is similar. For that device, the author has some detailed hardware notes and some source code available.
