I am currently in the field of power management design, not because I picked it but because that's the first job I got. I recently graduated with an MSEE and enjoyed my RF classes, but I wonder if it is a realistic goal to switch to RF design without experience other than my class projects (LNA and gilbert cell mixer).
Thoughts?

Its a long working life, go for what YOU want to do. Most of learning is after formal education, don't worry about not knowing enough. You will make mistakes and learn a lot over the years. Satisfaction is worth more than any salary, I learnt that a long time ago. Good luck with your career.
