cadence schematic jpg

Hi there, guys ... How can I export the schematics I drawed in Cadence 5033 in a picture format (jpg, gif, png, ...)? Is there a special feature that I didn't heard of ? I prefer saving those schematic in black and white format ... because as they are seem to be hard to read....

I've tried Design ->Plot ->Submit ->Plot Options (and then saving to another .eps file) ... but it doesn't quite work .... in CIW says that :

*WARNING* Plotter configuration not loaded.
*WARNING* Plotter is not specified.
No cells plotted

And in the PLOTTER NAME field I have : noPlotters
What have I done wrong ?! Pls ... give me a solution.

cadence schematic + visio

in xterm, type

xwd -out filename.xwd

then click on the window you want to capture. you cna view the .xwd file with xview or gimp and save it to another format.

if you need the schematic for a publication, it is much preferred to redraw it using a program like coreldraw.

There's no difference between this solution and a simple push of the PrintScreen button. But I already want it to be converted to blank and white . Anybody else with some other solution ?! :|

where is .cdsplotinit located?

you also posted this question on comp.cad.cadence? if this is for your thesis, you should redraw all schematics in a drawing program such as coreldraw or microsoft visio. it is more professional. quality of schematics captured from cadence is bad.

bad window ic5033

yes ... I posted there , too.

I also observed that the image quality isn't that great. Thanks for the tip, I will finally play with an image editor.

This solution worked. The wrong thing I've done it was I created ".cdsplotint" instead of ".cdsplotinit" Thx Vozhyk. :D

draw shcematics for papers

You can make that as:

cd /.../usr/local/...../IC5033/tools/plot/bin (Cadene ICxxxx Installation)

and exicute the binary file to create your .cdsinitplot file.

./plotconfig
