i have looked for info i got some stuff like how there made and how they work. i would like to know other things thanks.

To use IGBTs, we need to know the power of your system, and you have to do that voltage and current that supports the IGBT, which is delivered to your system.
So, you should know that IGBTs need a special circuit for qeu suits the voltage levels of the shoot which requires the IGBT. this circuit is called drivers, and depending on your configuration, you will use a bridge, half or full bridge.
you must be careful when you use them as your circuit must have an anti diode in parallel, so that there is a time of regeneration power, or if not burn your drivers.

i dont have anything i want to make right now. but i found some IGBTs on ebay for 8 bucks maybe i should buy a few and make something. they where big 600 v 200 amps i think and this h bridge and half bridge and the other bridge i would like to know more about them. thanks

is there anything i could read that might help me something not so complated

Well IGBTs is a combination between a MOSFET and BJT. In a very easy way to understand you control current with voltage. IGBTs have a low rdson wich make more easy design
