I'm now working on a project about designing a USB host controller. My PHY interface is an UTMI standard chip.
I've got a question: if I would like to enable Plug and Play on the USB host controller, how should I know my USB device is connected or not from UTMI interface?
I searched through the USB2.0 and UTMI specification, but found no answer.
Is there anyone who can help me?

Hi,

You have to decode from linestate pins. If the linestate is J for more than 2.5us the device is connected. But for the device disconnect detection there should be a separate pin.

Regards,
Kanags
