Hi everyone!!!

I'm trying to run a parametric sweep using HSPICE. I've done this kind of analysis using the .STEP command in PSPICE, but I haven't been able to do so in HSPICE.

can anyone help me with this issue???

thanks,

diemilio

Re: HSPICE

hi,

If i understood correctly

.param w=wen

m1 1 2 3 nmos l=1u w=wen
vgs 2 gnd 1

.dc vgs 0 2 0.1 sweep wen poi 3 1u 2u 3u

HSPICE

I think that when we study a new tool,we should
read some manual or some demo first

HSPICE

I quite agree with dachuan's viewpoint, but i still in wonder for spice and spectre which is the better,I mean convenent and more accurate.

Re: HSPICE

thank you for your question
it'ds very nice that you can deal with ordinary spice because Hspice is the same as spice in defining elements and instruction.
it's so easy to know how to use Hspice.
after you install it. follow these steps
1-type your circuit simulation file using note pad (using extension .sp) and save it in any partition on your computrt
2-from start open hspice
3-select "open" and open the note pad file writeen
4-then select simulate to start simulation. another windowes will open showing the simulation procedure. after simulation end this window will be closed
5-to show curves select avanwave icon as aresult a two windoes will open "brouse result& avanwave" selet the analysis type and then dople click on the node needed
6-waite untill showing curvers
hint
if you using version 2001 you have to open a lysince file else "2005 or2007" you dont
