Hi,

I'm beginner in this. I'm facing some problem about the IE3D simulation. I'm using IE3D to simulate my patch antenna but i'm not sure about the feeding because my antenna is feed from side. Besides that, i cannot select the simulate icon when i want to do simulation for my design.

Thanks very much for the help.

Best regards.

Hi, Bluesky19:

I checked your file. The feed is not correct. Other things are good. You should use h-localized port. Please create the horizontal feed line and touching the vertical ground. Make sure you have connection edge there. Please leave some small rectangle between the vertical ground and the feed line to define a h-localized port.

The return loss of the antenna is good. Attached are the revised file and results.

best regards,
