plz help:ideas for a graduation project

hi all
i wanna make my graduation project in the wireless or cellular communication filed
i just read alot about each topic and i have undrstanded the idea as a whole and i'm interested in:
voip,wifi,wimax,ofdm and various mobile communication systems(GSM,CDMA,UMTS,GPRS)
but i just can't come up with an idea or by other words what can be done as a graduation project in the mentioned above topics..plz i wanna u mention detailed idea and the sources,programs used,etc.

i don't want sources about the topics i just need ideas

haii,
if u r interested in ofdm, you can do project in that area.i's upcoming now.many researches are going on in this area.
you can refer IEEE papers of (2005-2006) and also magazines.
you can use matlab also if you don't know other softwares.

thanks alot.but what is the idea that can be acheived as a graduation project in ofdm
i know one idea is the implementation of ofdm reciever..any more ideas??

Hello,

You have many choices.

If you are interested in the system as a whole, you can perform a system simulation for any of these standards, this can be done on MATLAB or ADS ptolemy, which is by the way much more powerful!!,

My suggestion, OFDM. It's really promising. you can find it in WiMAX 802.16 (a throgh e) and WiLAN 802.11a/g , but take care, it's really a tough standard,

As you might now, any standard has it's phy and MAC layers. I think you might be more intereseted to implement the MAC. although I injoyed building the WiMAX phy for my grad project.

As suggested by others, if u r interested u can simulate the whole system by using system simulation or u can just implement phy/mac layers .

u can also implement CAC (call admission control algorithm) or scheduling algorithm.u can propose a new one n say how it performs better then other algorithms.
u can also perform comparison of various algorithms say CAC or scheduling algorithm

u can use NS-2,MATLAB or OPNET software for this.
