Re: voice channel in GSM

Which encoding and synthesis protocols are used in such applications and how are they implemented?

voice channel in GSM

Enhanced Full Rate (EFR) speech transcoding. Refered to ETSI EN 300 726 v8.0.1
I can not undestand how it is work really.
I want a solution without caring about what is in this black box but i want to convert my digital data to quasi voice signal in transmetter and vice versa in reciever.

Re: voice channel in GSM

Hi

Use AT command to open the voice channel and connect your modem to the audio channel

Also using the AT command alow you to control other paramter regarding the voice channel like Audio gain or speaker volume

I do that on the Sony-Ericson cell modem and it work fine

remember to cerfully design the audio channel other wise GSM noise will degrade your audio quality
