Operating multichannel mosfets

Can each FET in a multi channel MOSFET IC such as a SSM6N7002CFU work independently or must they be ganged? Are the ratings per channel or the sum of the channels? Especially the power dissipation.
 

what do u want to do? those mosfets have separate GATE,DRAIN,SOURCE terminals, so, they are independent mosfets.

Use them in a circuit in which they each would dissipate some power and I'm unsure if the total power is rated for the sum of all the MOSFETs or simply for each FET in the package.
 

The power dissipation specified is for whole package (hence it should be for 2 MOSFET's in total, for single mosfet it will be half).
