Total noob here, working on a switch for an amp project. The specs offer this information on the proposed interface.

what does the symbol in the last column mean, please? Been trying to google it, even through google images, but to no avail.

It's an N-channel Enhancement MOSFET:





Such devices are commonly utilized as switching devices.

It is an N channel MOSFET or nMOS.
Wondering why Google didn't respond to you! Anyway if you still want detail about this switching device then search "MOSFET" in Wikipedia.
