Hi,
I was wondering if there are people here interested in doing some small projects like designing different filters, low noise amplifiers, oscillators and so on together. This would be a good way to learn different softwares and ideas of Rf and microwave area. We can compare our results then and help each other to get the right results. If anyone is interested, please let me know. Any further suggestion would be appreciated.
Thank you.
:)

Thank you Farida, now we are 3. let's wait to see if there are any other interested and we will start the day after tomorrow.;-)

Ok, To begin, let's design a stepped impedace filter:
cut off frequency:2.5 GHz (low pass)

https://tinypic.com/r/ncglmx/5

the above photo is a layout of the filter, with characteristic impedance and electrical length of each part put on it. we can simulate it by ads and see the s21 of the filter.
P.S. what is the best way to insert image here, I don't like the way I did it.
I put my schematic and result as soon as I have done it. Waiting for your answers and suggestions:)

here is the schematic:

our next project, if any one is interested, could be an aperture antenna as can be seen in the picture,
we can simulate in in CST and HFSS.1.jpg

count me in also.

what software are you using. I work in IE3D and CST MWS

Let us work together from there.

I don't know what IE3D is, I thought it would be good to simulate it in CST and HFSS.

I just joined the group, O.K.
Rest of the work will be continued in:
