Altium 10: Routed tracks not "sticking" to pads they should be connected to?

I am routing up a PCB in Altium.

After I have snapped the routed track to the centre of the pad everything seems fine….

-I am seeing the “octagon” appear to indicate that the routed track is at the pad centre and ready to be terminated there.
However, when I subsequently move the component a bit, the route does not move with it, but just stays where it is , and does not appear to be connected to the pad.

Why is this?

How can I make the routed track actually connect and “stick” to the pad?

Hi Grizedale,

First you go to preferences/pcb editor/ general tab in that u select connected tracks from component drag drop down menu after that go to pcb editor select Edit/move/drag and then try to drag the component.
