Hi i need help the Verilog programming code...im supernew to Xlinx...but i already started my research abt the verilog program...i just really confused about where to start with the code.. My project is Using a Digilent BASYS FPGA board: Make a motor spin both directions
with variable speed that can be set with switches SW0 - SW7. The L298 Hbridge can be used. Care must be taken to protect the FPGA from excessive
current draw and large voltage transients.

Where do i start with writing the verilog code for this project. Thanks Guys

You might want to consider using one of Digilent's H-bridge PMOD expansion modules, such as the PMOD-HB5. Even if you don't use it, the manual explains how you need to use PWM to control speed, and there's a complete reference design.

If you want to use an L298, most of the Digilent stuff code will still be applicable, though the interface is a bit different. Read the L298 data sheet and study up on H-bridges in general.
