I am trying to build an old PLD design for a XC7300 chip using Xilinx Foundation 1.3 (time limited version).
All I have for the existing design is an Abel file and I need to build a Intel Hex file to program a chip.
The Flow Engine seems to translate the Abel file ok.
Next I tried to run...
Have an old design based on XC7300 series chips.
Anyone have the Student Edition of Foundation 1.3 with a valid cdkey/registrationpassword/license file for it? That is the last version supporting those chips.
There is a 1.3 SE on archive.org but without the cdkey/password it is not very helpful.
I am new to this so have a beginner question. I am starting with an existing Abel .ABL file for an older Xilinx chip - XC7354.
Using XACTStep 6 I synthesized it to a .PLD file.
But that is as far as I can get and my programmer needs an Intel MCS Hex file to program the chip.
How can I get a...
Thanks guys. That clears things up. I didn't know if they were "protected" from normal reading or if special hardware was needed to dump them. I think I'm all set now.
I need to dump a serial configuration prom XC1736 so that I can program another one with the same revision code. This is for a vintage computer where the original programming file is not available any longer.
Can these XC1736 devices be dumped/read out to a file which can used to then program...
FutureNet version 6.10 no dongle required.
I found out it was a free download from ftp://ftp.synario.com.
But the ftp is down now...I hope someone might have saved it and can let me download it
Hello, looking for some vintage HW-130/HW-120 programming adapters for the Xilinx XC7300 series.

If you have any or know where to get some I would appreciate it...
Thanks for the information. That book is helpful, I've been looking at it.
I see that on page 1-3 it lists the XC7000 is UV erasable and reprogrammable with a PROM programmer, but my chips are XC7300 series and have no window.
Page 2-4 is good. It talks about programming or "loading" them...
I have an 20 year old computer that needs Xilinx XC7000 CPLDs programmed.
Can anyone point me to what hardware I would need to do this? I don't know where to start. Thanks.
