try to make your own receiver, their is a very powerfull ic called tda7000 it is full superheterodyne fm receiver you only need to add some capacitors and inductors around it, and yes you could catch audio of tv channels but you cannot decode video of course.

1- biasing your transistor symetrically
2- apply smaller voltage at the input
i would choose B if i were since you r talking about amplifier, and in amplifiers you search for maximum symetrical swing to get the largest signal possible at the output, unless you are working with dc only positive supply, then you choose vcm = vdd/2

try to use the charge pumps they are the main dc to dc convrters you can use them to multiply by n.
