Modeling a new device
I need to know how to model a new device not avilable in the orcad library for the purpose of simulation. Is there is any tutorial.
You will need the cad file generated from your PCB tool for component position. Also you must spend some time in reading your machine manual becasue there will be a difference between the different manfacturers.
This type of capacitors is not avilable commerically. If you need for important application you can contact suppliers like EPCOS and AVX they can produce this part specially for you but this capacitor price will be high.

Is there is any standard covering the alarm system hardware and the features that must be avilable to any alarm system. Also is there is any technical document covering the design of alarm system.
Re: samples for CPLD or FPGA
Altera offer samples for their PLDs and FPGA but throuth their authorized distruibutors but Xilinx does not offer samples.
Which tools to start use to learn SI deisgn. Is the use of the Cadstar or the cadance tools. Which one is easier in learning and which one has a good documentation
