Hi,
I have an external Samsung HDD where I saved Windows 7 system images of my computer. Now I am planning to upgrade to Windows 10. To save images of this new system shall I have to low level format the HDD to prevent errors?

My HP Pavillon DV5000 has an ATI Radeon XPress R480M GPU, that overheats, as it seems the thermal pad does not conduct properly heat to the heatsink. The GPU top surface is metallic and no way to place a cooper shim on it because of short circuit.

If the solder inductor joints are dryied too much it might prevent current flow. Try resoldering with new solder and no-clean flux and see if it helps.
