    thevenin resistance in op-amp circuit

You can either check the datasheet of the manufacturer for the opamp's input impedance or use the internal circuit (if one is given) combined with the parameters from the spice model (assuming it's open) to find a small signal equivalent of the differential input stage and calculate the...

    Digital Potentiometer

Another method we commonly use is using a PWM controller with a power FET + FET driver. You use a rotary encoder and a microcontroller, you can use one with integrated PWM outputs. This works for very large loads and also rather durable if made well. If the loads aren't too large you can also...

    ADS S-parameter extraction: port error

Thank you! I'll have a look. Edit: Doesn't seem to help, I also tried to add a bounding box cause it keeps saying "outside the simulation boundary and will be ignored.". To no avail. Edit 2: I recreated the substrate and now it works all of a sudden. I guess the substrate defined the boundary...

    ADS S-parameter extraction: port error

I wish I knew, I'll ask tomorrow. But I fear not (considering they don't even want to give me the login for the online help).

    [SOLVED] Help with Thévenin's theorem

If it's your first few attempts at using Thevenin/Norton there's a simple trick to it: Use it multiple times. Replace each divider by its individual thevenin/norton representation. It isn't really the fastest or best method, but it does tend to work. If you wish to solve it by voltage divider...

    ADS S-parameter extraction: port error

Before you start shouting at me that this is easy: I was "given" ADS for a college project. Though at this point I would rather call it torture by ADS. Would make a fairly good Halloween movie I imagine. But to get back to the original subject. Nobody really seems to know how to work with this...

    Master's thesis subject

I'm currently in a bit of a problematic situation. We had to submit or choice for master's thesis. I got my hands on a subject related to NMR. Sadly my promoter / advisor came down with a bad case of not responding to emails. But considering it was during the exams I decided to wait, most...

    [MOVED]PCB manufacturing/prototyping services

Thanks, though I'm not sure I'm willing to trust a site with "Muuuch Cheaper" on it. I'll probably go and try out BatchPCB.

    [MOVED]PCB manufacturing/prototyping services

Well, I didn't quite say I want A3. But up to A3 for the occasional board that does go oversized. Most of the boards I do make are 20x20cm at most. But at this rate it'll seem like I'll be better off ordering new etchant.

    [MOVED]PCB manufacturing/prototyping services

Sadly both of those are fairly expensive. At that pricing it's cheaper for me to take a day off and to do it myself.

    [MOVED]PCB manufacturing/prototyping services

I'm looking for a PCB manufacturing service that can do large 2 and 4 layer boards. Only need power planes, no signal layers on the 4 layer boards. And by large I mean up to A3 in size. Mainly for prototyping/personal projects. Delivery time isn't all that important, as in anything under 2...
