there are meny transient and harmunics in power system.so use standard multifunction relay only.To connect a relay to pwoer system equipments ,use Current & voltage transformers.

A Thermocouple use to differnt metal for sensore . It is important to use special wire to connect thermocuple to your board.
I you use Copper wire ,you add another sensore!!!

when you use 5KVA transformer ,you must make dv/dt protecion for your switchs by a RC branch. you have large L di/dt and hi voltage shock.

Laptop power suplly is a switch mode type. In switch mode power suplly ,input change to dc at first ,and by a chupper it change to hi frequency and .....
So You can use DC source for for your Laptop power suplly (about 100vdc) dirrectly.
