Any Recommendation on DSP Development kits?

If you want to select a processor you should at first know what tasks it will solve, what you need floating poin or fixed, DSP functions or microcontroller, how many MIPS or MFLOPS, the price of future device etc.

Need some advice about DSP studying

Re: how to study DSP? Unfortunately my experience in TI DSP is very small. All I can say is pay attention to parallel asm instruction, it's very difficult but usefull.

Need some advice about DSP studying

Re: how to study DSP? AD is Analog Devices. As for ASM instruction: you can download examples from AD site (DCT, FFT). https://www.analog.com/processors/processors/blackfin/technicalLibrary/manuals/codeExamples.html

Pre-requisites to learn VisualDSP and SHARC Processors

I think that to buy a kit is a good idea. Try to understand examples which you will receive with software. And learn assembler. I write asm function and call them from main().

Processor used for upgrading 16bit to 32bit DSP processor

Re: 32bit DSP processor If you used 16bit DSP fixed point (ADSP2189 - Analog Devices) try ADSP-2153x BlackFin. It's fixed point processor to and has a freq > 600MH. And it's cheap, look for AD local vendor for price. And don't use ADSP-219x. This processor has no future.

Need some advice about DSP studying

Re: how to study DSP? To study hardware you need a KIT with code examples. My "Hello, world" for every new processor was to switch a LED by pressing a button - it's interrupt, then try DMA, then connect KIT with PC via UART and go on till the end with different parts of processor. And don't use...

    Help me start learning DSP

Re: HOW I CAN START DSP I think that "Undrestanding DSP-RG Lions " is much better than Smith's book. It has a lot of pictures and it's easy to understand.
